Be inspired by our fellow Tamaraw, who is a social entrepreneur and an advocate of zero.

A 2017 Deloitte Survey shows that “millennials consider themselves to have a fair degree of accountability for many of the world’s largest challenges, even though they feel their influence has limitations.”
They feel empowered and efficient when they support good causes even in their own little ways. Taking these into account, Far Eastern University launches the FEU Y Talks as a platform for the millennials or Generation Y to share their socially relevant perspectives and advocacies. With high school students as audience, this talk series aims to level up the quality of discourse involving the country’s future leaders.

Learn how passion, perseverance, and being innovative work well together in creating business opportunities even in these challenging times.

In this time of unrest, witness how compassion and kindness can make a difference. Be touched by the story of Ms. Marie Lorraine Pingol, a true pandemic hero!

FEU Cavite and FoodShap Signed Partnership on Food Safety Training and Examination

FEU Cavite and FoodShap Signed Partnership on Food Safety Training and Examination

It was a remarkable event for FEU Cavite to be sealing a deal with Food Safety and Hygiene Academy of the Philippines (FoodShap), as it authorized the school to be a FoodShap course provider of the Department of Health (DOH) and American National Standards Institute (US ANSI) accredited Food Safety Training and Examination System (FSTES) on October 28, 2019.

The first run of the Food Safety course for FEU Cavite’s Hospitality and Tourism Management Students was held the following month. Completion of the course adds to graduate attributes of Tamaraws being skills-certified and industry-ready.

FEU Cavite kicks off its countdown to decade

FEU Cavite will be celebrating its 10th Founding Anniversary on January 21, 2019. On October 21, 2018, it held the TAM’s Day and launched the 100-day countdown towards its road to a decade. Various activities are lined up for the entire year, and will be revealed as the meaningful occasion nears.
Highlight of the event: number 10 formation

The school-wide event kicked off with the convergence of the FEU Cavite Departments: Basic Education led by Directress Reyette Paunan; Senior High School led by Director Matthew Nepomuceno; and Higher Education led by Dean Marcon Espino at the Metrogate Silang Estates Rotonda. Dawned in green, gold and white shirt colors, the attendees paraded to the open field beside the Higher Education Department (HED) building passing through the “Road to Decade” arch, accompanied by powerful beats made by the FEU Drummers.

Dean Espino who is also the institution’s Executive Director welcomed the stakeholders and delighted them with FEU Cavite’s curriculum approach, facilities, learning methodologies, green surroundings and conducive learning environment. He exclaimed, “FEU Cavite being the first FEU school outside Metro Manila, is the home of the Tamaraws in the South. Our road to decade, as we celebrate this morning the FEU Cavite TAM’s Day: A Road to Decade, manifested and demonstrated what this institution has accomplished and achieved. And that is because of all of you.” Following his speech, he officially opened the 100-day countdown to FEU Cavite’s 10th founding anniversary.

The FEU Cavite community participated in various events including Zumba and fun games to match the morning sun and cool breeze of Silang, Cavite. They also watched the performances made by the Basic Education chorale group, “Himig Tamaraw” and dance group, “TAMS on the Move”, Senior High School “TAMS Dance Crew”, and Higher Education “FEUC Dance Company.

 TAMS’ Zumba Dance

TAMS’ Day brought together FEU Cavite students from all levels (preschool, grade school, junior high school, senior high school and college), their parents and teachers, employees, and alumni. According to the BS Tourism Management students, Donessa Jimenez and Eujill Buendia, it is their first time to celebrate with the Basic Education Department. “Unlike the other celebrations I experienced in FEU Cavite that felt ‘tayo tayo lang’, the TAM’s Day made me realize na malaki pala tayo. This is my first and kakaiba itong event. Nafeel mo na Tamaraw ka talaga. Hindi ka lang nasa school na nag-aaral but we are celebrating with a bigger community,” Ms. Jimenez added.
